Thank you to everyone who joined us in 2026 and helped make our 2nd Functional Stimulation Expert Days another outstanding success!
With around 100 experts from medicine, science, orthopedic technology, and rehabilitation, the event took place at the historic Ritterakademie in Lüneburg from September 10–12, 2026. Over two engaging days, lively discussion, deep professional interest, collegiality, and shared curiosity created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Focus on Interdisciplinary Exchange
Participants especially valued the open exchange of experiences. Beyond sharing individual treatment approaches, discussions included insights into using products from various manufacturers, as well as firsthand accounts from users and affected individuals – enriching collective learning. Numerous connections were made, and the shared focus on what is possible—or what is already emerging as a possibility for the future—reinforced the frequently expressed feeling of being part of a growing community.

Renowned expert presentations and hands-on workshops
On Thursday, we launched the event with training sessions for partners, followed by a warm welcomed at the evening gathering at “Rack’s”. Highlights of the first official conference day included Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rüdiger Rupp’s presentation “Assistive Neurotechnologies for Functional Recovery in People with Spinal Cord Injury,” and interactive workshops by Evomotion, Fesia, and MTRplus, where attendees could experience the technologies firsthand and engage directly with manufacturers.
On Saturday, Dr. Ines Bersch-Porada presented “Motor Learning Through Functional Stimulation and Guidelines for FES in Stroke, MS, and Spinal Cord Injury,” followed by Tom Heinze (N.A.P. Academy) sharing practical insights from his clinical work, emphasizing goal clarity and interdisciplinary collaboration. Product demonstrations from manufacturers and real-world case studies completed the program.

A Community Built on Collaboration, Not Competition
A core aim of our conference is to foster a space for cross-manufacturer dialogue – and we’re confident we achieved that. As Tom Heinze put it:
“I thought it was great that there was no sense of competition among the exhibitors and that everyone was simply trying to make the concept of electrostimulation tangible.”

The 2nd Functional Stimulation Expert Days were a resounding success—featuring positive feedback, meaningful insights, and a strong sense of community.
We’re thrilled by the consistently positive response and look forward to building on this momentum in 2028 as we continue working together to advance functional electrostimulation and improve quality of life for our users.
